Why we like it: You'll never say, "Oh! I forgot to buy ______" again! Plus, clip amazing coupons.
GroceryIQ is simple in concept but advanced in execution. You COULD do things the old fashioned way - with a pen and paper and newspaper clippings. But with this app, make your lists by saying the name of the item, scanning the barcode (on that empty cereal box for example) or typing it in. Or create multiple lists based on which grocery store you're visiting or what items are on sale.

Why we like it: Keeps tabs on our spending (er...savings)

With Mint, we can track our expenses and see where we're "falling off the wagon." We can get an accurate view of exactly how much we have in our accounts.

Gas Buddy uses your location to help you see a list of options and shows you who has the cheapest gas. Whether you are a weekend wanderer or daily commuter, this is an essential tool to get you there.

Why we like it: The 'daily deal' gorilla now on your phone
"Oh, that's so cheap! I'll take 3 of them. Who cares if they're fishing boots and we don't fish??!!!"
We all fall prey to the lure of the discount, but Groupon does a great job of featuring less of the fishing boots and more of the things we could all use (or do). Their app takes it one step further by making it really convenient to personalize, share and purchase the deals straight from your phone. It also uses your phone's GPS to tell you the deals that are close to you and available immediately. Good stuff!
